Unwoven Light

A shimmering art installation, Unwoven Light by Soo Sunny Park was made using a chain-link fence framework. Like her past pieces, she embedded the fence with translucent sections of Plexiglas that give it a pearly surface as if it were the inside of a clam’s mouth. The installation takes on the form of an abstract wave, reflecting nearly every light source in the space it inhabits and casting a fractured rainbow of color against the walls in a mesmerizing way. The installation is currently at the Rice University Art Gallery in Houston, Texas.
